Biographical Information Location: Isle of Wight Occupation: Artist Birthdate: June 3, 1968 (40 years old) Interests: art, animals Biography: Claire Eastgate was born in Nottinghamshire, U.K. in 1968. Her earlier works centred around the human form, working in sculpture and life drawing. She began painting in oil in the nineties, eventually specialising in dog portraiture. Developing her style and technique, she now creates a portrait quite unlike any other dog or pet portrait. Launching Claire Eastgate Portraits a year ago, she has found a growing interest and demand for her work both nationally and internationally. Her work can be found in many private collections and Claire is now producing work for exhibitions.Claire can be commissioned to paint your dog using photographs, or she can arrange a photo session. Shrewsbury College, Birmingham School of Art Ba, The Slade School of Art, London and private tuition. |
