Area Representative Guidelines

  1. To be a member of the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club.
  2. To promote the Club and to encourage new membership
  3. To have personal knowledge and experience of the breed and to make themselves available to offer help and advice to anyone requiring it.
  4. To have information about training classes in their area, of all types.
  5. To inform the Welfare/Rescue co-ordinator of any dogs in need of help
  6. To notify the Benevolent Fund Administrator in the case of owners/members requiring assistance.
  7. To act as an information point to prospective purchasers of dogs and to pass this information to the Puppy register co-ordinator if applicable.
  8. To encourage local canine societies to schedule Papillon classes at their shows and to supply up to date judging lists to these.
  9. To help with home checks and transfers for the Welfare/Rescue scheme if possible.
  10. To be a contact point for advice for new owners.
  11. To keep in touch with the owners of dogs placed in their area by the Welfare/Rescue scheme, if requested, from time to time where possible.

Any expenses incurred by Area Representatives when dealing with aspects connected to a Welfare/Rescue dog will be met in full by the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Welfare scheme.
