At The Dog Scene we take the security and privacy of your personal and financial information seriously and we are committed to safeguarding your privacy online. As a business The Dog Scene is built on the foundation of a long-term relationship with members and we make every effort not to breech privacy and risk customer trust for short-term financial gain. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide us with, directly and indirectly, when you use our on-line services.

Subscription information
To have full access to the web site and to make full use of the services offered on the Site you will need to complete our registration process. We collect and store the information that you provide in this registration process, including your IP address. If you send us communications, then we may collect such communications in a file specific to you. We use the information we collect about you as a registered member to build features that we hope will make the web site and its services more attractive and easier for you to use. This may include better customer support, timely notices of new services and content better suited to your interests. We will not share member information with any third party without your permission, although we may need to disclose member information to law enforcement or other government officials if appropriate for your protection or in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement or other activity that is illegal or may expose us or other members to legal liability.

Control of your password
Except as specifically permitted by this Privacy Policy you may not disclose your member password to any third parties nor share it with any third parties. If you lose control of your member password you may lose control over your personal information stored in our databases and you will be responsible for any legally binding actions taken on your behalf or in your name. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password. You may do this through your profile and options or by completing the "lost password" section when logging in, when a new password will be sent to you by email

Third Parties
This privacy policy only addresses the use and disclosure of member information collected by The Dog Scene. If you disclose information to other parties, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of such information regardless of their affiliation or relationship with The Dog Scene.

We do not try to control, and disclaim responsibility for, information provided by other Members or third parties that is made available through our web site. Such information may contain errors, intentional or otherwise, or may be offensive, inappropriate or inaccurate, and in some cases will be mislabelled or deceptively labelled.

Site Visits
When you visit our site we will be able to identify you from the log-in information. In addition, we will collect and store the domain name and host from which you accessed the internet (e.g. freeserve.com), the IP address (a unique identification code for your PC), your browser and operating system, the date and time that you accessed the Site and the internet address of any web site from which you linked directly to our site or to which you link after visiting our Site. Our web site contains links to other sites, but we do not pass any information to those sites. The Dog Scene is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these web sites and you should check their privacy policies before sharing any private information with them.

Please remember that our message board is a public forum and any information you share there immediately becomes public information, so be careful about what you disclose.

Merger, asset sales etc.
If The Dog Scene or any of its lines of business is sold, pledged or disposed of as a going concern, whether by merger, sale of assets, bankruptcy or otherwise, then the member database of The Dog Scene could be sold as a part of that transaction and all member information accessed by such successor or purchaser.

The Dog Scene may from time to time change this privacy policy with or without notice, so please check it regularly for any changes or updates. Your use of the site constitutes your agreement to this privacy policy and your assent to any modifications there to.
