Patella Luxation
Luxating means out of place, or dislocated. The patella is the equivalent to the human kneecap and part of the stifle structure, and therefore a luxating patella is a kneecap that moves out of its normal location.

I found this article to be excellent. My dog was diagnosed yesterday and this has helped me tremendously to understand what the vet had told me. I had planned to make a call back to her to further understand this problem but now I don't have to do that! Thank you so much. I've added this site to my favourites list.

Thank you for this article. This, among many others, has helped me to understand patella luxation. My little guy at the vet yesterday twice and diagnosed. Thanks again :D
